Goldie’s Lorikeet As ‘’Gentle In Nature’’ Pets




Goldie’s lorikeet is the famous breed of parrot which they can belong to the Psittaculidae family. They can found in forests and woodland. Most people keep as pet on the basis of their appearance. These are green parrot with number of color on their head. They can also look like as watermelon. These parrots are gentle in nature and they can t bear another pet.

Goldie’s lorikeet average life span is 12 to 15 years.

Physical appearance:


Goldie’s lorikeet is beautiful good looking colorful parrot. They are green colored with yellowish streaks on the chest. Red blue and purple head colored parrots are looking as watermelon. They can have dark plumage crown. Their cheeks are move and blue and their beak is black. Their legs are also greenish brown. Their body weight is 45 to 57 cm. Their average size is also 19 cm.



Goldie’s lorikeet is being curious playful and calm demeanor. These are gentle in nature and attached with their owner. They can also having brushy tongue which talks with in little voice. They sounds are not understood but some expression understood their owner. They can enjoy in apartment life.



They can need nectar food. When you can keep as pet then given fresh fruits, it can good for their healthy life. The nectar and powder diet also having low iron. It can good for their better development. They can also eat vegetables and boiled corn. They can’t digest seed based food. Nectar base food provides your pet parrot for their good and healthy life.



Goldie’s lorikeet keep as pet then need for their living. They can require large sized cage. This cage is hanged on the tile and concrete floor. In their cage bar space is also needed. In their cage a swing food and water pots and aviary is required for happily living in this cage. All required things can provide their pet parrot cage.



Goldie’s lorikeet is sexually mature by two year of their age. They lay two eggs and incubated about 23 days. Their young babies spend eight weeks in nest. Their feather can quickly after fledging.
